Great Expectations
You say it’s
hard to accept Christ?
Because you do
not understand
The path of His footsteps
And the foundation of His plan
But,
seek His face anyway
And you will be surprise
Of the things you didn’t understand
When He opens up your eyes
You’ll begin to see life different
And didn’t have to do a lot
Cause God will make something
Out of whatever it is you got
Focus on the parable of the mustard seed
Small as it may be
The seed produced homes for birds
Protected shade for you and me
So
whatever it is you have
Give it all up to God
And as time pass, you will see
The Morale of Follower and Leader
One day on a warm summer
afternoon,
Follower and Leader were sitting in the park.
Near where they were sitting was a pond.
Follower and Leader were out enjoying the day,
When there appeared a mother duck and her goslings.
Follower and Leader noticed how obedient the goslings were
To do what the mother required.
As they continued to watch,
They saw how the goslings responded
To the sounds of the mother duck’s call.
Each time the sound was the same, but the goslings’ actions were not.
Then Follower and Leader looked in the sky
And there they saw a flock of geese soaring on the air.
There seem to be hundreds,
But only one ahead of the other.
They took the shape of a ‘V”
As they headed to an unknown destination.
The more they flew they began to disappear from sight.
Then Follower and Leader thought for moment
Wondering how one can lead so many.
Follower replied, “No one can make me follow like that”.
Leader put into memory what was said.
Then Leader made a bet with Follower
He said, “I bet I can get you to follow me.”
Leader said, “I bet you can’t”.
So Leader said, “I tell you what, meet me here
tomorrow about the same time, and I
will let you know what the bet is”.
Follower replied, “Okay, I’ll be here.
(Follower followed Leader by agreeing to met with him tomorrow)
The morale of this
story is, even the simplest statement made could get you to follow if
you are not careful to listen with your heart.
Be a follower of God, but a leader of man.
A SHADOW
Children they have feelings
Just like grown ups do
They’re only little people
Who’s trying to be like you
You
want them to show respect
For you without a doubt
But when they get in trouble
You’ll only put them out
They
end up behind bars
Or with their hands up in the air
Looking down the barrow of a gun
Now who’s the one don’t care
You
know God gave you a blessing
But you abused his reward
The child that you messed up
Is now a vessel for the Lord
If
you look a little bit closer
Beyond the body you’ll see
The helpless little spirit
Trying to be like you and me
All
of us would be nothing
If God took his spirit away
Only dirt out on the ground
Where people step on everyday
The Eyes of the Heart
When we focus on the world, we see corruption, hatred
and all sought of things going on around us.
We may not always know the answer, but there’s always a solution.
Each day as God wakes us, we’re here to face new challenges and
beginnings.
We may not know what the end of the day will bring, but at the
beginning, focus.
We try to figure out how to keep yesterday into yesterday and worry
about tomorrow.
We try to focus on every detail,
every mistake, and every incomplete gesture to see if we are perfect.
We ask ourselves, “Is this good enough?” Is my clothes right?” How is my
hair?” Do I have the right
shoes?” What will I wear
today?” Well, for some they
can only wish to ask these questions.
We see so many around us hurting and suffering but yet never lift a
finger to help.
We sometimes say “oh he or she will be alright” or “they brought this on
themselves”.
We have no idea what is going on inside of their minds or hearts.
Who are we to judge?
Everyday we send signals to let people know of our approval or
disapproval by way of prejudice habits that we have accumulated over the
years.
The pace of the world is moving so fast, we don’t take the time to slow
down.
Five, ten or maybe fifteen years from now, half of us don’t know where
we will be, just like those who are suffering had no idea they would be
in their condition.
We focus on our own demands and treat them more important.
When we look in the eyes of another, do we see what they see?
If we look even closer, we will truly see that their eyes are
telling us a story.
We can read the minds of our own, but we need to read the minds of those
who are alone. If we took a
moment and paid close attention and look beyond what the world call the
dirt and filth of the misfortunate, we would be able to see a shadow
just like ours on the ground.
A shadow, maybe even darker, trying to tell us to look at them through
their eyes and not their condition.
YOU
Have you ever imagine what it was like?
For God to make a human with all his might
Shaping the dirt we walk on everyday
The dirt you watch your children at play
Yes! He did decide
And looked around
Inhaled and released his spirit
Blew it on the dirt from the ground
He made it, shaped it, gave it a name
The creation of today we all call man
Perfect in form from head to feet
Until he looked again and saw it was incomplete
God waved his hand up and than he waved it down
Lowered his creation carefully to the ground
In a deep sleep man fell with His peace
From that moment on, all nature had to cease
God opened Adam’s side stuck his hand into the skin
Removed a rib so easily and closed it up again
It’s not good for man to be alone wandering among the trees
Now the rib that Adam’s missing is in the body of Eve
So the next time you walk on dirt
Think about what God went through
How he worked in his pottery shop
Creating something as beautiful as you
