"Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them.  Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.  Only be strong and courageous!"  Joshua 1:6,7,9,18 

TO ENJOY PROSPERITY AND BE SUCCESSFUL

1.  One must be willing to SHARE and WITNESS (talk) about the  greatness of the LORD. 

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth.          Joshua 1:8a

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  Then the LORD your God will bring you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you--a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build,  houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant--then when you eat and are satisfied, Deuteronomy 6:6-12

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,  because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.  Ephesians 6:7,8

Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him.  Acts 8:35

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.  But avoid worldly and empty chatter.  2 Timothy 2:15,16

2. One must MEDITATE (think) on GOD’S WORD day and night.

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night.  Joshua 1:8a

Blessed is the man, But his delight is in the law of the LORD,  and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water,  which yields its fruit in season  and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers.  Psalm 1:1-3

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.  Philippians 4:8

The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered.  Genesis 39:2

 3.   One must fully   OBEY (do) the commands of God.

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.  Joshua 1:8

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.  Philippians 4:9

For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.  Ezra 7:10

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.  James 1:22

For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.  Romans 2:13

I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.  He is like a man building a house, and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but it did not shake , because it was well built.  Luke 6:47,48
