On the first day of the week, (EIGHTH
DAY)
very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went
to the tomb.
Luke 24:1
EIGHT; Number for new beginnings.
· Eight
were saved after the flood to repopulated the earth.
· Beginning
of new life, circumcision done on eight day.
· David,
the hope of Israel was the eight child
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come! Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision
means anything; what counts is a
new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just
as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may
live a
new life.
and to put on the
new self,
created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Romans 6:4; Ephesians 4:24
1. There
should be a new
standard.
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an
example, that you should follow in his steps.
1 Peter 2:21
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our
weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we
are--yet was without sin.
Hebrews 4:15
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise
to God. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

2. There should be a new
hope.
If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all
men. If the dead are not raised,
"Let us eat and drink, for
tomorrow we die.
1 Corinthians 15:19,32
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he
has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:3
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that
you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Looking for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and
Savior, Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:13
3. There should be a new
outlook.
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have
learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed
or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:12,13
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect
in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9
4. There
should be a new
Incentive.
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give
yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in
the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together
and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it
will be measured to you.
Like 6:38
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the LORD will reward you.
