A Call To Arms - August 1982, Pastor Allen S. McLauchlin was an Assistant Pastor of New Bethel AME Zion and a student of Carolina Bible College. In August 1982, he receives his vision from God to begin a new ministry.
The Vision Became a Reality - October 2, 1982, the first fellowship was held at the Civitan Club Building on 220 North West Avenue in Fayetteville, NC. It was there his wife, Norma T. McLauchlin, was led by God to call his new ministry New Life.
The First Sermon - "Why Evangelize" John 1:35-42.
New Life Becomes a Corporation - July 1983, New Life Fellowship Ministries received its incorporation status.
First Acquisition - 1984, New Life purchased two acres of land in Hoke County, NC from Wright Realty.
First Ordained Minister - 1984, Harry Barrett is ordained as the Associate Pastor of New Life Fellowship Ministries.
First Ordained Deacons - 1984
First Choir Formed - 1985
God's Plan is set in Motion - 1987, a groundbreaking ceremony is held on the church's site in Hoke County. Three months later, construction is halted due to a lawsuit brought by a landowner near the church site. To avoid other suits, the land was sold back to Wright Realty.
A New Solution - 1988, The McLauchlin Family donated two acres of land to the New Life Ministries on Hoke Loop Rd, Fayetteville, NC.
Raising The Roof - October 1988, Excitement is in the air as the construction of the new church begun under the direction of Deacon Aaron (Doug) Davis.
First Service Held - May 7, 1989
