Evangelism Ministry

God is calling "you" to evangelize.

With God's Word and our out stretched hands. We can reach out and make a difference

Paul said, How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? and how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Romans 10:14-17

The word "evangelism" comes from a New Testament Greek word: euangelion.  This word is a compound word made up of two words: "eu", meaning "Good" and "angelion", meaning "Message or News" (angelion is the word we get angel from.  An angel is a messenger).  So, the word "evangelism" comes from a Greek word that means Good News. It is translated into English with the word "Gospel".  So, to recap, the word gospel means "Good News" and comes from the Greek word euangelion.

Evangelism is a word used to describe the different ways God uses us, along with His Word and Spirit, to transform unbelievers into people who have a relationship with Christ, Therefore, under God, our goal in evangelism is to be his instrument by reaching out to new people who will delight in God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men

Now we read in the Bible that Jesus preached (proclaimed to others) the gospel Matthew 4:23 and commanded his followers to preach the gospel Mark 16:15.  The apostle Paul tells us that "faith" comes from hearing it Romans 10:17 and by it's "power", people are saved Romans 1:16-17.  So evangelism is proclaiming the gospel so that people can be saved.  This is a very specific message.  If you do not preach this specific message, this gospel, you run the risk of preaching another gospel Galatians 1:6-7.

Please note at this point that evangelism is not doing good deeds, praying, conversion or discipleship.  All these things are important but evangelism is a very specific thing.  It is is proclaiming the gospel of peace that saves, and not another gospel.

Mission statement

Our English word "mission" comes from the Latin word for "sending." Being a Christian includes being sent into the world as a representative of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." Here at New Life Bible Church we want to Build on a good foundation and let the Holy Spirit expand our understanding. Let the word of God be our rule and our guide as we journey through life

Purpose Statement

Evangelism is a word used to describe the different ways God uses us, along with His Word and Spirit, to transform unbelievers into people who have a relationship with Christ. Therefore, under God, our goal in the evangelism ministry is to be his instruments, assist in developing new people who delight in God through Jesus Christ. To reach out to those who are lost and can't find their way, and that souls are being saved, lives are changed. Our youth is a priority that we continue to teach them and mentor them and not to lose one to the world. Proverbs 22:6 tells us train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Together as the body of Christ we can reach out and make a difference with your help. So come on join the movement help us get the word out you are important to this ministry and to the community it is up to us to let people know what is happening here at New Life Bible Church where you learn the true meaning of the word of God.

If you are not connected to a ministry and are wondering what should I do or where should I start God is calling you to Evangelize.

There will be baskets in the vestibule with flyers in them please take some and give them to someone that does not have a church home or someone who you think is lost and can't find their way remember we were once lost and in the dark now we see the light lets shine it on them God Bless you Minister Norwood.
